I think I developed a nickel/lead allergy when my ear lobes started to puff and scale as I was wearing my go-to white gold earrings over the years. Thus, I searched for either pure gold or pure silver earrings; then I came across Amami. Since I stopped wearing earrings for a couple of months, my piercing got smaller. So when I first tried the Amami earrings on, it was a bit painful. Because the earrings were handmade using traditional methods, they are not as refined as those you could usually buy from boutiques at the mall. Anyway, I just left my new earrings on for a couple of days and my piercings have adjusted. I am very happy with my purchase. They are simple but they look very nice for everyday wear at home, in the office, and when going out — more importantly, I'm not experiencing any allergic reactions!
